Seyðisfjörður – Valley Hike

Rachel and I decided to hike up to a lake in the mountains of Seyðisfjörður above our cabin that is supposed to be frozen most of the year round due to it’s altitude.  The hike took us on a 16km trek up some fairly steep cliffs, past around 30 magnificent waterfalls.  The hike consisted of acceding several plateau’s. We powered along and finally made it to the top to our location with impressive views.  Once at our destination we enjoyed our treat of chocolate covered oreo’s… mmmm well earned.

No matter how high or steep we got, there were these bloody hardy Icelandic sheep everywhere.

Icelandic Sheep – These sheep are crazy, they are found on side of cliffs and glaciers
